This medication alleviates symptoms caused by seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis and improves the symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Additionally, when used in conjunction with hydrocortisone topical preparations for the treatment of dermatitis and eczema accompanied by itching, it enhances efficacy. It is effectively used for various allergic and skin symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 tablet (Levocetirizine Hydrochloride 5mg) once daily orally, irrespective of meals. Dose adjustments should be made according to kidney function: Mild (50 ≤ CLCR < 80) 1 tablet once daily; Moderate (30 ≤ CLCR < 50) 1 tablet every 2 days; Severe (10 ≤ CLCR < 30) 1 tablet every 3 days.

Child dose

Children aged 6 and above: Take 1 tablet (Levocetirizine Hydrochloride 5mg) once daily orally, irrespective of meals, similar to adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients with a history of allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to specific components. It should not be administered to patients with severely impaired kidney function or those undergoing hemodialysis. It should not be used in infants under 1 year of age and should be given in liquid form to children under 6 years of age instead of tablets.
