Prevention of asthma and alleviation of allergic rhinitis symptoms
This medication helps in the prevention and ongoing treatment of asthma. It is also used to relieve symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.
1 tablet (10mg) once daily, taken orally in the evening. Asthma patients should take it in the evening, while allergic rhinitis patients should determine the dosing time according to their condition. Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age should take 10mg once daily orally.
This medication is used for the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis. Symptoms such as agitation, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, or suicidal thoughts may occur during treatment, thus immediate consultation with a physician is recommended if these symptoms appear. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, so patients with phenylketonuria should avoid it. Patients who cannot digest lactose are also advised not to take this medication. Side effects such as fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, and rash may occur in some patients; if symptoms are severe, inform a doctor. This medication is not an immediate treatment in case of an acute asthma attack, hence it is essential to always have an emergency inhaler available. If allergic to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, avoid using those medications while taking this drug. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult a doctor and take it only if necessary, and it should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. In cases of overdose, there are no specific antidotes, so immediate medical attention should be sought. Store this medication out of reach of children and do not change or stop the dosage on your own.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), angioedema, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe anaphylaxis, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosal pain, toxic epidermal necrolysis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, trouble breathing or feeling short of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory distress accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), severe lethargy, elevated ALT and AST.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication is sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. It is also advised to keep it away from direct sunlight and at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C.
