Precautions

This drug should not be used in certain patients. For example, individuals allergic to this drug or its components should not take it. Additionally, since it contains lactose, those with lactose intolerance or associated genetic disorders should avoid taking it. People allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should also refrain from using this medication. Patients with liver disease or a history of liver disease should use this medication with caution, as there is a risk of liver function worsening. Patients with high blood lipid levels or lipid metabolism disorders such as diabetic dyslipidemia or pancreatitis should also exercise caution. During the course of taking this drug, allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, or swelling may occur, so if these symptoms develop, the medication should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Symptoms such as drowsiness, headache, dizziness, and insomnia may occur mentally. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and dry mouth may also manifest and should be monitored. Liver function abnormalities may occur, so regular liver function tests should be conducted, and patients with hepatitis may experience symptom exacerbation. Rare adverse reactions have also been reported with respect to renal function, such as proteinuria, and observation is needed. Urological symptoms such as increased urination, hematuria, and urinary retention may appear; if symptoms occur, they should be reported immediately. Symptoms of increased heart rate may also occasionally occur. In the respiratory system, difficulty breathing or nasal congestion may rarely occur. Blood-related abnormalities such as thrombocytopenia or leukocytosis have been reported, so regular blood tests are recommended. For women, symptoms such as gynecomastia and menstrual irregularities may occur, and if such symptoms are present, a doctor should be consulted. This drug is not a fast-acting medication to alleviate asthma attacks, so this should be thoroughly explained to asthma patients. Patients undergoing long-term steroid therapy should gradually reduce their steroid dosage while taking this medication. Caution is needed when driving or operating machinery due to the possibility of drowsiness. If there is no effect, it is advisable not to continue taking the medication for an extended period. For patients with seasonal allergies, it is effective to start medication before symptoms begin. Patients at risk of lipid overload should monitor their blood lipid levels and adjust their dosage accordingly. This drug has relatively few interactions with other medications; however, caution is warranted when taking it with sedatives or alcohol. The safety during pregnancy is not well established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use it cautiously, and nursing mothers should avoid taking it or stop breastfeeding. The safety in children or infants has not been sufficiently confirmed. Elderly patients may have decreased liver and kidney function, so any adverse reactions should be carefully monitored, and the dosage may need to be reduced or discontinued as necessary. In cases of overdose, there are risks of cardiac issues such as arrhythmias, necessitating immediate emergency treatment and monitoring. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring it to other containers should be avoided. Finally, taking it on an empty stomach may increase the drug concentration in the blood, so it is advisable to adjust taking conditions based on symptoms, either before or after meals.
