How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

Instill 1-2 drops 2-4 times daily. For the first 1-2 days, it may be used hourly as needed. Adjust according to symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with viral kerato-conjunctivitis, fungal ocular diseases, ocular tuberculosis, untreated purulent infections, and who are hypersensitive to this drug. In patients with corneal epithelial detachment or ulceration, administration should be avoided due to the risk of corneal perforation. In glaucoma patients or children, use should be cautious considering the possibility of adrenal suppression. Various adverse reactions may occur with this drug, including headache, allergic reactions, eye pain, increased intraocular pressure, cataract, blurred vision, and eye redness, requiring caution. Long-term use may increase the risk of glaucoma or cataracts; therefore, regular intraocular pressure checks and lens examinations are necessary. Furthermore, patients with a history of herpes simplex should be monitored frequently to prevent exacerbation of corneal disease. In cases of acute purulent infection, this drug may mask or worsen symptoms, requiring caution. Contact lens wearers should remove lenses before instillation and can reinsert them at least 15 minutes after. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Temporary blurred vision may occur during instillation, so driving or the operation of hazardous machinery should be avoided. If infected with chickenpox or measles during the use of this medication, severe complications may arise, necessitating prompt medical attention for infection prevention and symptom onset. Long-term use may delay wound healing or lead to pituitary and adrenal function suppression, requiring caution. Regarding drug interactions, concomitant use with anticholinergic agents such as atropine may lead to increased intraocular pressure, and the concurrent use of CYP3A inhibitors may increase the risks of systemic adverse effects, thus requiring caution. Pregnant or nursing women should exercise caution when using this medication and, if possible, avoid prolonged use. Children and the elderly require additional attention due to decreased physiological function. In cases of overdose, significant problems are unlikely; however, if overdosing occurs, it is advisable to drink water to dilute. This medication is for ophthalmic use only, and care should be taken to prevent contamination by ensuring the container tip does not contact the eye or other surfaces. Additionally, it is safest not to share this medication with others. When storing, keep in a tightly sealed container away from children, in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight, and do not transfer to another container.
