This medication is used to relieve pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), peritendinitis of the scapulohumeral joint, lumbago, sciatica, and non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

Aceclofenac 200 mg should be taken once daily. This medication should be taken whole, not chewed or crushed. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be administered in the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

Patients who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as gastrointestinal bleeding may occur if taken with alcohol. This medication may affect the heart and cerebrovascular system, so caution is advised for those with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors. Serious issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke can occur depending on the dosage and duration, so it should be used at the lowest possible dose for the shortest duration. Elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal issues such as ulcers, bleeding, or perforation are especially cautioned due to the risk of gastrointestinal side effects. If abdominal pain or signs of bleeding occur while taking this medication, immediate medical attention is required. This medication should not be used by individuals with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, those with a history of asthma or specific allergic reactions, patients with severe heart failure, and those with significantly reduced kidney or liver function, as well as pregnant women in late pregnancy and nursing mothers.
