Rapid relief treatment for moderate pain (post-surgery) and fever
This medication is administered via intravenous injection to quickly take effect when pain or high fever is present. It is particularly used for the short-term treatment of moderate pain following surgery. It also helps to quickly reduce fever for a short period when one is present. It can be safely used even when other routes of administration are difficult, making it convenient. Therefore, this drug is effectively used for the rapid treatment of post-surgical pain and fever.
Adults weighing 50 kg or more 4 times a day, 1000 mg as acetaminophen for a single dose, with a minimum interval of 4 hours. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 4 grams. Children weighing more than 33 kg and adults weighing less than 50 kg Administer approximately 15 mg/kg as acetaminophen (this drug 1.5 ml/kg) for a single dose, with a minimum interval of 4 hours. The maximum daily dose is 60 mg/kg or should not exceed 4 grams.

This medication can lead to serious poisoning or death due to confusion between milligrams and milliliters during dosing, so it is essential to confirm the correct dosage and administer with caution. Once oral medication can be taken, it is advisable to switch to an appropriate analgesic as soon as possible. Be sure to check if acetaminophen is included in other medications to avoid excessive dosing. Exceeding the recommended dosage can cause significant liver damage; therefore, patients with liver function abnormalities or a history of liver disease should use this drug cautiously and consult a doctor beforehand. Moreover, individuals who frequently consume alcohol every day should consult a professional before taking this medication, as there is a risk of liver damage. Very rarely, severe skin reactions can occur after taking this medication; therefore, if a rash or signs of hypersensitivity appear, stop taking it immediately and consult with a healthcare professional. Patients with an allergy to acetaminophen or this medication, or those with peptic ulcers, severe liver, kidney, or heart disorders, or a history of aspirin-induced asthma should not take this medication. Specific patient groups, including those with liver disease, kidney disease, bleeding tendencies, the elderly, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children should use this drug with caution and consult with a physician as needed. Regular monitoring, such as liver function tests, may be required, and adverse reactions including increased liver enzymes, blood disorders, skin rashes, and hypotension have been reported. There may be interactions when taken with other medications, especially when used concomitantly with probenecid, isoniazid, phenytoin, anticoagulants, etc. This drug does not affect driving or machine operation, but should not be mixed with other medications. During pregnancy, the benefits and risks of this medication should be carefully evaluated before taking it, and while breastfeeding, small amounts may be excreted in breast milk, but reports of adverse reactions are rare. In case of overdose, serious symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and liver damage may occur, and immediate hospitalization for detoxification treatment is necessary. This medication should not be stored at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, should not be refrigerated or frozen, and before use, it is important to check for any foreign materials or discoloration, and any unused solution should be discarded after single use.
