Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis. During treatment with this medication, significant neuropsychiatric symptoms may occur, so patients and caregivers should closely monitor for changes in mental state such as agitation, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, and suicidal thoughts. If new neuropsychiatric symptoms or behavioral changes occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, so patients with a genetic disorder called phenylketonuria should avoid it and also limit their intake of aspartame. For formulations containing lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance or galactose intolerance. This medication is not an emergency treatment for acute asthma attacks, so appropriate emergency medications should always be carried and used in the event of acute symptoms. While taking this medication, the dosage of inhaled corticosteroids may be adjusted according to a physician's instructions, but sudden changes are prohibited. It should not be used alone to treat exercise-induced bronchospasm; inhaled beta-agonists should be used in combination as needed. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid using those medications while taking this product. Rarely, various adverse reactions may occur, including those affecting blood, liver, nervous system, and skin, so if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a physician immediately. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should exercise caution when taking this medication, especially during pregnancy, and should only take it if absolutely necessary. Children and the elderly should also be monitored for safety, especially as the safety and efficacy for children under 6 months of age have not been established. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and general symptomatic treatment and clinical monitoring are necessary. Keep the medication out of reach of children and avoid transferring it to other containers.
