Precautions

This drug should not be used in women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. This drug contains lactose and should not be administered to patients with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be exercised when using this drug in patients with a tendency to bleed, or those taking antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, or anticoagulants, as the risk of bleeding may increase. During treatment with this drug, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes or itching may occur, so if such symptoms arise, immediately discontinue use and seek appropriate measures. Bleeding may occur infrequently, so symptoms should be monitored closely, and treatment should be discontinued if abnormalities arise. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include diarrhea, nausea, abdominal discomfort, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and heartburn, and rarely vomiting or abdominal distension may also occur. Liver function abnormalities may occur, so it is important to periodically check liver enzymes (AST, ALT). Cardiovascular symptoms such as palpitations or hypotension, and peripheral cyanosis, may occur rarely, so caution is advised. Other reported side effects include headaches, facial flushing, dizziness, feelings of warmth, general malaise, edema, breast swelling, tremors, excessive hair growth on the legs, and anemia. In patients with lumbar spinal stenosis, the decision to continue treatment should be based on observation of changes in symptoms, and the effectiveness of this drug in severe cases requiring surgery is not certain. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, so women who may become pregnant should not take this drug, as uterine contraction effects were observed in animal experiments. Safety in pediatric patients has not been confirmed, and there is no experience in use, so caution is necessary. Elderly patients may have reduced physiological functions, so careful administration with dose adjustments may be required. High doses in healthy adults may lead to temporary decreases in blood pressure, so caution is necessary.
