This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension who find it difficult to control blood pressure with either Amlodipine or Telmisartan alone.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage of this medication is one tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). 40/5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Amlodipine 5 mg or Telmisartan 40 mg. 80/5 mg: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Amlodipine 5 mg or this medication 40/5 mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy for pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, hence the administration of this drug is not recommended.

Precautions

This drug should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious health problems for the fetus or newborn. This drug should not be administered to women with certain allergic reactions, pregnant women, nursing mothers, patients with severe liver dysfunction, or patients with very low blood pressure. Patients with primary aldosteronism, cardiac valve disease, impaired liver function, gastrointestinal disorders, and renal dysfunction need to exercise special caution when using this drug.
