This drug should not be used in patients with viral keratitis or conjunctival diseases. For instance, it must not be administered in cases of infections such as herpes simplex keratitis, pox, or chickenpox. Additionally, it should not be used in patients with fungal infections in the eye, tuberculosis, or untreated purulent infections. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug should also avoid using it. Additionally, intraocular pressure may rise or cataracts may develop, and there may be a risk of eye infections, so consult a doctor immediately if symptoms appear. If this drug is used for a long time, regular checks of intraocular pressure and lens examinations should be conducted, and immediate evaluation should be sought if there are any abnormalities in vision. This drug may mask or worsen symptoms when there is an eye infection, so it should be discontinued and a medical evaluation should be sought if infection is suspected. If wearing contact lenses, they should be removed before administering this drug, and they can be reinserted at least 15 minutes after administration. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, the use of the drug should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. During the use of this drug, temporary blurring of vision may occur, so avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Particularly in cases of infection with chickenpox or measles, serious complications may arise, so it is essential to check medical history and vaccination status before using this drug to minimize the risk of infection. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this drug with caution, and long-term use should be avoided. Extra care is required for children and the elderly, and since safety and effectiveness have not been fully established in these populations, consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary.
