Precautions

This medication is used to treat asthma and allergic rhinitis. It should not be administered to individuals with allergies to certain components or genetic problems such as lactose intolerance. This medication is not intended for treating acute asthma attacks; therefore, separate emergency medications should be used when asthma suddenly worsens. During treatment, it may be possible to gradually reduce the dose of inhaled corticosteroids under a doctor's guidance, but it should not be abruptly switched to another medication. If asthma symptoms worsen due to exercise, this medication should not be used alone, and an inhaled beta-agonist should be used alongside it. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not use those medications while taking this drug. Serious side effects such as eosinophilia or vasculitis may occur infrequently during this treatment, so doctors should closely monitor the patient's condition. This medication can be used in a variety of age groups from children to adults, but its safety and efficacy have not been established in children under 6 months old. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding must consult a doctor before taking this medication and should use it only if necessary. In cases of overdose, there are no specific antidotes, so general symptomatic treatment and clinical monitoring are required. When storing the medication, keep it out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container. If neuropsychiatric symptoms (e.g., anxiety, depression, hallucinations, etc.) appear during use, patients should immediately inform their doctor. This medication should be taken regularly even when asthma symptoms are absent, and if symptoms are not controlled, the prescribing doctor should be consulted.
