This medication is used for the relief of fever and body pain caused by a cold, headaches, neuralgia, muscle pain, menstrual pain, and sprain pain. It is also effective against toothache, joint pain, and rheumatic pain. Overall, it helps alleviate various types of pain and discomfort.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 2 capsules at a time, 3 to 4 times a day (every 4 to 6 hours) as needed. Do not exceed a total of 4 grams (12 capsules) in one day. This medicine should be taken at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medicine contains acetaminophen, which can burden the liver. Anyone who regularly drinks three or more alcoholic beverages daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine; otherwise, there is a heightened risk of liver damage. Additionally, very rarely, severe skin reactions such as serious rashes or blisters and allergic reactions may occur. If any unusual skin symptoms arise after taking this medicine, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of 4,000 mg and to avoid taking it with other medications containing acetaminophen to prevent liver damage. Particular caution should be exercised by those with an allergy to this medication or a history of peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney disease, heart dysfunction, aspirin-sensitive asthma, as they should avoid taking it. Individuals taking barbiturates or tricyclic antidepressants, as well as those who have consumed alcohol, should also avoid this medicine. Those with liver or kidney diseases, peptic ulcers, blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, heart dysfunction, hypersensitivity, bronchial asthma, elderly patients, pregnant and nursing women, those taking warfarin, and individuals on certain other medications must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If symptoms such as difficulty breathing, facial flushing, hives, severe vomiting, skin rashes, bleeding, or severe abdominal pain occur during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare provider. This medicine requires regular blood tests and liver function tests during long-term use, and it is important to consult a professional if symptoms persist or worsen. Furthermore, it is advisable to avoid taking it with other anti-inflammatory pain relievers and not to take it longer than the prescribed duration. In cases of overdose, seek immediate medical attention for liver protective treatment, even if symptoms are absent. Store in a location out of reach of children, and keep it sealed in its original container at room temperature.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness → severe allergic reaction
  • Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and other severe skin reactions
  • Difficulty breathing, asthma attacks
  • Liver issues (jaundice) symptoms
  • Shock, anaphylactic reactions, hypersensitivity symptoms (facial swelling, low blood pressure, vascular reactions)

Mild side effects

Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, rash, pruritic (itchy) rash, fixed drug eruption, elevated AST, elevated ALT, fatigue, pyruvate acidemia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)
