Precautions

This medication contains aspartame, an artificial sweetener, and should not be administered to patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria. It should not be used by patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or to beta-lactam antibiotics, those with a history of infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, patients with liver dysfunction, and those with certain genetic disorders such as lactose intolerance. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function, allergic tendencies, poor nutritional status, or gastrointestinal symptoms should use this medication cautiously. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain or hypersensitivity reactions like liver function abnormalities and skin rashes may occur; if symptoms are severe, immediate consultation with a physician is necessary. This medication can cause serious allergic shock due to hypersensitivity reactions; therefore, patients' conditions should be closely monitored after administration and emergency measures should be available. Long-term use may lead to resistant bacteria, so it is advisable to administer it only for the necessary duration, and regular check-ups are required in cases of liver or kidney abnormalities. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it cautiously after consulting a physician, especially avoiding use during the first three months of pregnancy. Children, especially newborns under 2 months, require attention as safety has not been established for this age group. Elderly patients are at higher risk of adverse reactions due to reduced physiological functions, so dosage and interval should be adjusted and carefully monitored. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if taking other medications, it is essential to inform the physician or pharmacist. In cases of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, kidney dysfunction, and neurological symptoms may appear, necessitating immediate contact with a medical institution for appropriate treatment.
