This medicine is used for the treatment of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.

How to take

Adult dose

This medicine is administered orally once daily and should be taken at the same time every day. If necessary, it can be administered twice daily. For dosage increase, the maximum daily dose of 20mg is targeted, increasing by 5mg weekly for the first 3 weeks. First week (days 1-7): 5mg daily Second week (days 8-14): 10mg daily Third week (days 15-21): 15mg daily From the fourth week: maintain at 20mg daily

Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with allergies to its components. It should also be avoided in patients with severe liver dysfunction or significantly reduced kidney function. Patients with a history of seizures or convulsions need to use this medicine with caution. Taking it with NMDA antagonists such as amantadine, ketamine, or dextromethorphan may increase central nervous system side effects, so co-administration should be avoided. Patients with increased acidity (high pH) in urine should be carefully monitored when using this medicine. In patients with recent heart disease or uncontrolled hypertension, the safety of this medicine is not well established, so caution is advised.
