This medication alleviates allergic symptoms such as seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis. It is also effective for itching and skin rashes caused by chronic idiopathic urticaria. When treating dermatitis and eczema accompanied by itching, it can help alleviate symptoms when used in conjunction with hydrocortisone topical agents. It is used to improve the symptoms of various allergic and skin conditions.
Adults: Take 1 tablet (5 mg of Levocetirizine Hydrochloride) orally once a day, regardless of meals. Adjust dosage according to age and symptoms. For patients with renal impairment, adjust dosage based on renal function (creatinine clearance). Mild (50 ≤ CLCR < 80): 1 tablet, once daily Moderate (30 ≤ CLCR < 50): 1 tablet, every other day Severe (10 ≤ CLCR < 30):
Children aged 6 years and older: Take 1 tablet (5 mg of Levocetirizine Hydrochloride) orally once a day, regardless of meals.

It should not be administered to patients with severely impaired renal function or those undergoing dialysis. Due to potential drowsiness or fatigue after taking this medication, caution is warranted when engaging in activities requiring concentration, such as driving or operating machinery. Combining this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants may worsen drowsiness or decrease concentration, hence it is advisable to avoid such combinations. Patients with urinary retention issues must exercise caution when taking this medication. There may be potential drug interactions with other medications, so if you are taking other drugs, be sure to inform your healthcare provider. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid taking this drug. Dosage adjustments may be necessary for children and the elderly, particularly for elderly patients with reduced renal function, who should start at a lower dose and be closely monitored.
