Precautions

This medicine contains the artificial sweetener aspartame and should not be used in patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic condition. The daily intake of aspartame should be limited based on body weight, with a maximum safe dosage for adults being 2.4 grams per day. Patients allergic to this medicine or its components should not take it. This medicine is not for treating acute asthma attacks; other emergency medications should be used for acute symptoms. During treatment, neuropsychiatric symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or hallucinations may occur, and if these symptoms arise, consult a doctor. It should not be used alone for exercise-induced bronchospasm; inhaled bronchodilators should be used if needed. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid using these medications while taking this medicine. Rare side effects like eosinophilia and vasculitis may occur during treatment, so report any related symptoms to healthcare personnel immediately. While there are no significant drug interactions reported with other asthma medications, follow a doctor's guidance when using with specific drugs. Consultation with a doctor is necessary before use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, and should only be used if needed. It is suitable for pediatric and elderly patients; however, safety and efficacy have not been established for infants under 6 months. There is no specific antidote for overdose; symptomatic treatment and observation are necessary. This medicine is sensitive to light; thus, it should be opened immediately before taking and taken right after opening, and should be stored out of reach of children. If asthma symptoms worsen or use of short-acting bronchodilators increases, consult a doctor immediately.
