This medication should not be used in patients who have experienced severe allergic reactions or shock due to this drug. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be given to patients with a genetic disorder that impairs lactose digestion. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or to similar classes of antibiotics should be particularly cautious and should only use it with care when necessary. Patients allergic to penicillin-class antibiotics should also exercise caution. Patients with asthma, skin rashes, or hives are advised to be careful due to their propensity for allergic symptoms. Patients with severe renal impairment should be observed carefully as this medication is excreted through the kidneys and may lead to prolonged retention and side effects. Patients who have difficulty swallowing medications or receive nutritional support through non-oral means, elderly patients, or patients in poor general condition should be closely monitored for vitamin K deficiency symptoms. This medication can, in rare cases, cause severe allergic reactions or shock; thus, if symptoms such as discomfort, oral abnormalities, shortness of breath, dizziness, or sweating develop during use, it should be discontinued immediately. If skin rashes, pruritus, fever, or arthralgia occur, the medication should be stopped, and appropriate treatment sought. If abdominal pain, frequent diarrhea, or blood in stools arise, medication should be discontinued immediately, and appropriate measures taken. If breathing difficulties, coughing, or fever develop, this may indicate lung inflammation, and treatment should be stopped. Blood tests may show reduced leukocyte or platelet counts, so routine blood tests are needed during prolonged use. Neurological symptoms such as cognitive impairment, behavioral changes, or seizures may occur, so dosage adjustments are necessary for patients with impaired kidney function. Rarely, severe skin reactions may arise, so the condition of the skin should be monitored closely, and use should be discontinued if abnormalities are observed. Liver function tests may show elevated values, so the health status of the liver should be monitored. Regular kidney function tests should be performed to avoid renal issues. Oral inflammation or candidiasis may occur, so attention to oral hygiene is essential. Symptoms of vitamin K deficiency or vitamin B complex deficiency should be observed closely. Headaches, swelling, fatigue, and malaise may arise rarely, so changes in health status should be monitored carefully. It is advisable to administer this medication only for the minimum required duration to prevent resistance to the bacteria. Detailed medical history and skin reaction tests are recommended to predict allergic reactions in advance. Dizziness may occur during medication use, so caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery. If used for more than 10 days, blood tests to confirm leukocyte counts are necessary. Patients with reduced kidney function are advised to be cautious as seizures may occur without dose adjustment. Severe skin adverse reactions have been reported, so skin condition should be monitored closely, and medication should be discontinued immediately if abnormalities are noticed. When used with diuretics or certain antibiotics, renal function may be affected, thus caution is required. When taken with other medications, drug concentrations may be affected, so consultation with a specialist is necessary. Safety during pregnancy is not established, so it should only be used when necessary, and breastfeeding should be discontinued if the mother is nursing. Safety in children, especially neonates or premature infants, has not been confirmed, requiring caution. Elderly patients may be more prone to adverse reactions due to decreased bodily function and risks of bleeding from vitamin K deficiency, thus should be administered cautiously. During the course of this medication, it may affect the results of certain clinical tests; hence, it is important to inform the testing personnel.
