Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to specific components. Patients allergic to penicillin or macrolide antibiotics, and those taking certain heart-related medications should also avoid this drug. Use is prohibited in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients with poor liver function or elderly patients should use this drug with increased caution, and people with a history of allergies should take it carefully. This drug can cause allergic symptoms such as skin rash and itching; if such symptoms appear, use should be stopped immediately. As abnormalities may appear in blood tests, regular blood testing is necessary along with liver function tests. Various side effects may occur, including multiple symptoms related to the heart, digestive issues, and neurological symptoms; consult a doctor if unusual symptoms arise. Particularly, if symptoms of pneumonia or severe shortness of breath occur, immediately stop taking and seek medical attention. Long-term use of this drug may increase the risk of bone fractures and hypomagnesemia, so regular check-ups are necessary during prolonged use. Additionally, as it suppresses gastric acid secretion, there may be a slight increase in the risk of bacterial infections in the gastrointestinal tract. Caution is required while driving or operating machinery as drowsiness may occur. This medication may interact with other drugs, so always inform your healthcare provider of any drugs you are currently taking. Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, and elderly patients should also use it cautiously considering possible adverse effects due to declining liver function.
