Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have previously experienced shock from it, or in those with allergies to cephalosporin antibiotics, as well as in patients with infectious mononucleosis. Caution is necessary for patients who had allergic reactions, have allergies to penicillin antibiotics, have a family history of allergy, have severely impaired kidney function, have difficulty taking medications orally, elderly patients, patients in poor general condition, and patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. This medication may rarely cause shock or severe allergic reactions; if symptoms occur, treatment should be discontinued immediately and appropriate care should be sought. Blood cell counts may decrease, or liver and kidney function may become abnormal, so if there are any abnormal symptoms, consult a doctor. Gastrointestinal problems may cause abdominal pain or diarrhea, and in severe cases, colitis with bloody stools may occur, so symptoms should be reported immediately. Respiratory issues, stomatitis, dizziness, headache, skin rash, and various side effects may occur, so the patient's condition should be closely monitored. Regular laboratory tests on blood, kidney, and liver functions should be conducted during prolonged use, and caution should be exercised as seizures may occur, especially in patients with reduced kidney function. When used with other nephrotoxic medications or diuretics, the risk of kidney damage may increase, requiring caution. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult with a doctor before using this medication, as it may not be safe, and caution is also advised during breastfeeding. Elderly patients may have reduced bodily functions, increasing the risk of side effects, so dosages and intervals should be adjusted, and conditions should be closely observed. Since this medication may affect certain clinical test results, it is important to inform the healthcare provider about its use, and it may rarely cause light sensitivity, so precautions should be taken when going outdoors.
