Taminofen Soft Capsules (Acetaminophen)

Adult dose

Take 2 capsules at a time, 3 to 4 times a day as needed (every 4 to 6 hours). Do not exceed 4 grams (12 capsules) in one day. This medication should be taken at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Child dose

Children over 12 years of age: Take 2 capsules at a time, 3 to 4 times a day as needed (every 4 to 6 hours). Do not exceed 4 grams (12 capsules) in one day. This medication should be taken at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

This medication can put a strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If severe rashes, itching, or blister-like symptoms appear on the skin during the use of this medication, it should be stopped immediately and medical consultation is necessary. The ingredient contained in this medication should not exceed a maximum of 4,000mg per day, and it should not be taken with other medications containing the same ingredient. It is advisable for those with allergies to this medication or with peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, or decreased heart function to avoid taking this medication. Individuals with a history of asthma or specific medications, or who frequently consume alcohol, should also consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If there are underlying liver or kidney diseases, bleeding tendencies, elderly patients, or if pregnant or nursing, it is vital to consult with a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms such as difficulty breathing, flushing of the face, severe hives, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, skin rashes, or bleeding occur during use, it is critical to stop taking the medication immediately and visit a hospital. This medication is used for symptomatic relief and should be taken under medical guidance with regular check-ups for long-term use. Particularly for pediatric and elderly patients, it should be taken at the minimum effective dose, paying attention to any adverse reactions. It is important not to take this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and not to take it for more than 10 days for pain relief or more than 3 days for fever management without a doctor's guidance. In case of overdose, immediate medical treatment should be sought, and medication may be necessary to protect the liver. This medication should be stored in its original container and kept in a cool place out of the reach of children.

Serious side effects

• Thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, methemoglobinemia, impaired platelet function
• Headaches, seizures, confusional state
• Significant reduction in urine output

Drug interactions

Consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking this medication with other products containing acetaminophen, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, warfarin, lithium, thiazide diuretics, or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Food interactions

Do not take this medication with alcohol.

This medication should be stored in a sealed container to protect it from air or moisture. Additionally, it should be kept at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius, not in excessively hot or cold places.
