This medicine is primarily used for the relief of coughing and phlegm symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

15 years and older and adults: 2 capsules after meals three times a day, 30 minutes after meals

Child dose

Ages 8 to under 15 years: 1 capsule after meals three times a day, 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. Individuals who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or its ingredients should also avoid it. Moreover, those taking specific antidepressants or psychiatric medications known as MAO inhibitors, or who have stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks, should not take this medication. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to concurrently take other cough suppressants or phlegm medications, cold medicines, medications containing antihistamines, and sedatives. Before taking this medication, individuals who have allergies or have experienced allergic symptoms such as fever, rash, or itching due to medications in the past should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Those with liver, kidney, heart, or thyroid diseases, as well as individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, the elderly, or those who are weakened, pregnant, or breastfeeding women should also seek advice from a professional. Especially individuals who smoke, have cough due to asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or who have had a cough lasting more than a week, fever, rash, or persistent headache accompanying cough should consult a doctor before taking this medication. If symptoms such as skin rash, itching, nausea, dizziness, difficulty urinating, severe thirst, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur during the use of this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, if symptoms do not improve after taking the medication 5 to 6 times, stop taking it and consult a doctor. It is generally advised that children under 2 years old should not take this medication, and if it is absolutely necessary, a doctor's evaluation must be obtained. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dose and frequency, and when administering to children, direct supervision by a guardian is mandatory. For children under 7 years, using a syrup formulation rather than this medication is recommended. During the course of treatment, avoid alcohol, and since drowsiness may occur, refrain from driving or operating machinery. This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is best to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature. By doing so, the medication's effectiveness can be preserved for an extended period.
