How to take

Adult dose

For raloxifene hydrochloride, 60 mg should be taken orally once daily.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of blood clots in the blood. In particular, there may be a risk of clot formation in the blood vessels of the legs, lungs, and eyes, so during the use of this medication, one should be cautious of symptoms of thrombosis. Additionally, this medication is not recommended for patients with impaired liver function, and careful monitoring is required if liver function test results worsen. This medication has not been approved for use in premenopausal women; therefore, it should only be taken by postmenopausal women. It should not be used for the purpose of preventing cardiovascular diseases and should be administered cautiously to patients at risk of stroke.
