Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
This medication is used to relieve acute and chronic pain ranging from moderate to severe.
For children aged 12 and above and adults, dosage adjustments are based on the patient's pain severity and treatment response. Starting dose: 4 tablets; subsequent intervals must be at least 6 hours apart, and not to exceed 16 tablets daily. The lowest effective dose should be administered for the shortest duration feasible; avoid prolonged administration beyond what is necessary. Elderly patients should be given the usual adult dose; however, for those over 75, the administration interval should be at least 6 hours.

This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist before taking if consuming more than three drinks of alcohol daily, as it can lead to liver damage. Discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional if any abnormal reactions, such as rash or itching, occur during treatment. These skin reactions may be rare but can be very severe. The main ingredient, tramadol, increases the risk of seizures if the recommended dosage is exceeded, so the prescribed dosage must be strictly adhered to. The risk of seizure may also increase when taken with certain other antidepressants or opioid analgesics. Patients with respiratory health issues, especially those with acute or severe asthma, require special caution as this medication may suppress breathing, and administration should occur in a setting equipped with medical equipment. Taking this medication with alcohol or benzodiazepines can lead to severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, and coma; therefore, co-administration should be avoided. Patients with elevated intracranial pressure or a head injury should be cautious as their symptoms may worsen due to respiratory suppression from this medication. This medication can lead to psychological or physical dependency, so long-term use should be guided by a physician, and discontinuation should not be done abruptly as withdrawal symptoms may appear. Patients with impaired liver function should consult a doctor before taking this medication and must ensure that the total daily dosage does not exceed 4,000 mg when taken with other acetaminophen products. Some individuals may metabolize this medication rapidly, resulting in elevated blood levels, thus requiring special monitoring from healthcare providers due to the increased risk of severe side effects like respiratory depression. This medication should not be administered to children under 12 years of age or to those under 18 years who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. It is also advisable to avoid administration in adolescents between 12 and 18 years due to respiratory depression risk. This medication can cause sleep apnea or hypoxia, so regular monitoring of symptom exacerbation is necessary during treatment, and the dosage may need to be adjusted or discontinued as needed. Rarely, hyponatremia may occur while taking this medication, requiring periodic blood tests for monitoring in elderly patients or in those with related risk factors. Patients with allergies to this medication's components, those with severe respiratory depression, head injuries, current usage of certain medications, severe liver, kidney, or heart function impairment, nursing mothers, and children under 12 years of age should not take this medication. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery due to the potential for drowsiness or dizziness associated with this medication. In case of overdose, severe respiratory depression, seizures, liver damage, etc., may occur, hence prescribed dosages must be adhered to, and medical attention should be sought immediately if overdose is suspected. This medication has many interactions with other drugs, especially with antidepressants, antibiotics, antifungal agents, and central nervous system depressants; thus, it is important to consult with healthcare professionals and closely monitor symptoms when taking them together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the effects of this medication on the fetus before taking; nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding while taking this medication. Elderly patients are at higher risk of decreased liver, kidney, or heart function and must exercise increased caution when taking this medication.
