How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older: Take 2 capsules three times a day 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This medication may affect the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication contains acetaminophen, which can rarely cause severe skin reactions. If skin rashes or hypersensitivity occur, stop taking this medication immediately. The daily maximum dosage of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000 mg, and combining this medication with other products containing acetaminophen should be avoided to prevent liver damage. Children under 2 years old are generally not to use this medication, and if necessary, should receive medical supervision. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed method and dosage, should not be taken for long periods, and should be given to children only under careful parental supervision. Alcohol should be avoided while taking this medication, and caution is needed when taken in conjunction with certain medications, as it may affect liver metabolism. Rarely, combining this medication with certain antibiotics can lead to a serious condition called metabolic acidosis; if such symptoms are suspected, stop taking it immediately. Mild side effects

Rash, redness (flushing), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, tremor, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Drug interactions

Do not take with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson drugs, etc.), cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines (oral medications for rhinitis, motion sickness medications, allergy medications). Diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, and alcohol should be administered with caution.

Food interactions

Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication.
