Acute bronchitis is a condition primarily caused by infection that leads to inflammation of the bronchi. Symptoms may include cough, phlegm, and dyspnea. This condition is usually temporary, and symptoms improve with appropriate treatment and rest. This medication is used to relieve inflammation and discomfort related to acute bronchitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 12 and over: 1 tablet per dose, 3 times a day, to be taken with a small amount of water.

Precautions

This medication is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients with a tendency for bleeding or those taking anticoagulants should not use this medication. Patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function may also be at risk when taking this medication. Those who are allergic to any ingredients in this medication should avoid taking it. Since it contains lactose, this medication should not be used in children with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders. This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 12. It contains Yellow No. 4 (tartrazine), so those who have had allergic reactions to this component should exercise caution. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, nausea, and diarrhea may occur upon administration. Rarely, bleeding symptoms such as gum bleeding or nosebleeds may occur, so caution is advised. Allergic reactions such as rash, hives, and itching of the skin may occur infrequently. Very rarely, serious allergic reactions such as facial swelling, difficulty breathing, or low blood pressure may occur, so immediate consultation with healthcare personnel is necessary. Liver function abnormalities may occur, so if symptoms such as jaundice, discoloration of urine, severe abdominal pain, or loss of appetite arise, administration should be discontinued. During this medication, platelet counts may decrease, hence regular blood tests may be required. If fever, dyspnea, or hemoptysis persists after administration, this medication should be discontinued immediately, and a hospital visit is necessary. It may be difficult to swallow this medication in a lying position, so it is advisable to take it while sitting or standing. This medication may affect blood coagulation, so patients taking blood thinners should consult a specialist. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid this medication for safety. Overdosing may worsen side effects, so do not exceed the prescribed dosage and consult a physician if any abnormal symptoms occur. Keep out of reach of children, and do not transfer to another container to maintain the safety and quality of the medication. The effects of this medication on driving or operating machinery are not known, so caution is advised.
