How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older: 20mL (1 packet) per dose, to be taken three times a day after meals, 30 minutes after eating.

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15 years: 13mL (2/3 of a packet) per dose, Ages 7 to under 11 years: 10mL (1/2 of a packet) per dose, Ages 3 to under 7 years: 6.5mL (1/3 of a packet) per dose

Precautions

As it contains acetaminophen, the daily maximum dosage should not be exceeded, and it should not be taken together with other acetaminophen-containing medications. Those who have allergies to this medication or its ingredients, have previously experienced asthma attacks, infants under 3 months of age, or are taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not use this medication. If severe rashes, vomiting, dizziness, shortness of breath, or skin redness occur during usage, stop the medication immediately and inform a healthcare professional. This medication should be taken strictly according to the prescribed dosage and should not be used for extended periods. Alcohol should be avoided during use, and as drowsiness may occur, driving or operating machinery should be avoided. When administering to children, supervision by an adult is required, and the medication should be stored in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor → hypersensitivity shock (anaphylaxis)
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes → mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis
  • Difficulty breathing or respiratory distress, cough + fever → interstitial pneumonia
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme drowsiness → liver dysfunction

Mild side effects

Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, difficulty urinating, dry mouth, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high-anion-gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson medications, etc.), cough suppressants and expectorants, other cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines (oral medications for rhinitis, motion sickness, allergy medications). Avoid combining with diabetic medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, and tricyclic antidepressants.

Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication.
