Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame and should not be used by patients with phenylketonuria, a hereditary condition that requires restriction of phenylalanine intake. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. This medication is not intended to treat acute asthma attacks; therefore, a rescue inhaler should be prepared during acute symptoms. During treatment, do not abruptly decrease or discontinue the dosage of inhaled corticosteroids; adjust gradually as directed by a physician. Some patients taking this medication may experience side effects such as headache, abdominal pain, fever, cough, or rash. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a physician. Patients with aspirin hypersensitivity should avoid taking aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs during treatment, as this medication does not treat bronchoconstriction in aspirin-sensitive asthma. Rarely, during treatment, there may be an occurrence of systemic eosinophilia associated with vasculitis, so if skin rashes, worsening pulmonary symptoms, heart, or neurological symptoms occur, inform your physician immediately. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a physician before taking this medication and should use it only when necessary during pregnancy. It can also be administered to children and the elderly, but the dosage and method of administration should follow a physician's instructions according to age. In cases of overdose, since there is no specific antidote, contact medical personnel immediately and receive symptomatic treatment. This medication is sensitive to light, so open just before use, take it immediately after preparation, and store it out of children's reach. Lastly, this medication should be taken continuously even when asthma symptoms are absent, and it is important to consult the attending physician if symptoms worsen or unusual symptoms appear.
