Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to certain components or have previously shown hypersensitivity to it. In addition, it should not be administered to patients currently taking specific antibiotics or other medications, or to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Caution is required in patients with impaired liver function, the elderly, or a history of drug allergies. Taking this medication may cause allergic reactions such as skin rash and itching, so use should be discontinued immediately if symptoms occur. Regular blood tests are recommended as there may be changes in red blood cell or white blood cell counts. Liver enzyme levels may also change, so periodic liver function tests are advisable. Watch for heart-related abnormal symptoms, gastrointestinal issues, as well as neurological symptoms like headache or dizziness. Various side effects such as respiratory symptoms, muscle pain, skin abnormalities, and vision changes have been reported, and medical consultation should be sought if any unusual symptoms occur. Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures, so bone density testing should be considered if necessary. Since this medication reduces gastric acid secretion, it may increase the risk of bacterial infections in the stomach, so if diarrhea persists, consult a doctor. Caution is necessary as drowsiness may occur when driving or operating machinery. Interactions may occur when taken with other medications, so it is essential to inform the doctor of any other medications being taken. This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not chew or crush; swallow the tablet whole. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to another container.
