Precautions

This medication should not be used in premature infants or neonates. The ingredient benzyl alcohol can cause life-threatening respiratory problems in these patients. Injecting this medication directly into the vein without dilution may cause vein inflammation, so it must be diluted before use. Also, due to its low osmolarity, it should only be used as a mixed injection solution. If any toxic symptoms from any ingredient appear during administration, the treatment should be stopped immediately. Special caution is needed for trace elements included in this medication, as they can cause toxicity in patients with impaired kidney or liver function. Patients with weak kidney function are at risk of zinc accumulation in the body, while biliary obstruction patients may experience accumulation of copper and manganese. For diabetic patients, chromium can affect blood sugar control, so interactions with diabetes medications being taken should be checked. Pregnant women or women who could become pregnant should use this medication only when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been adequately proven. In cases of overdose, toxic symptoms corresponding to each ingredient such as zinc, copper, chromium, and selenium may occur, potentially leading to serious side effects, so the dosage must be strictly adhered to. This medication must be used according to a physician's prescription, and when added to non-oral nutrient solutions, sterile conditions must be maintained. Prior to administration, the solution should be checked for discoloration or the presence of foreign substances. When storing, keep it in a sealed container to prevent air or moisture from entering, ideally at a temperature between 15 to 30 degrees Celsius. This ensures the medication's effects are safely preserved for a long time.
