Adult dose

For adults with severe infections and respiratory infections, take 2 tablets orally twice a day every 12 hours.

Particularly for patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, the risk of rash is higher, so this drug should be avoided. Patients who have previously experienced liver dysfunction or jaundice due to this medication or penicillin are at risk for recurrence, hence it is safest not to administer it. Patients with poor liver function or moderate to severe renal impairment may have elevated drug concentrations and should be used cautiously. Patients with allergic dispositions or gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea should be monitored closely due to potential poor drug absorption. While taking this medication, if symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, or blood in stool occur, it is crucial to stop the medication immediately and consult a physician, and it is advisable to take it with food to reduce gastrointestinal adverse reactions. Regular liver function tests are necessary during prolonged administration, as abnormal liver enzyme levels or jaundice may occur. Severe hypersensitivity reactions, such as severe skin rashes or anaphylactic shock, may occur rarely, and any unusual symptoms should be reported to medical staff immediately. There may be abnormalities in blood tests such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia, so blood tests should also be performed when using long-term. It is safest not to administer during the early stages of pregnancy or during pregnancy, except in special cases; caution is necessary during lactation as adverse effects like diarrhea or allergic reactions may occur in infants. Use is not recommended in children under 12 years of age or weighing less than 40 kg due to limited experience.
