This medication is used to relieve oral inflammation caused by prosthetic devices, oral candidiasis such as aphthous stomatitis, gingivitis, pharyngitis, and conditions like recurrent aphthous ulcer. It is also effective for the disinfection of wounds after periodontal surgery. This medicine treats various oral inflammations and infections, thereby improving the patient's symptoms.

How to use

Adult use

Rinse with 15 mL twice a day for about 1 minute. For stomatitis due to dentures, soak the dentures for 15 minutes twice a day.

Precautions

This medication may disrupt the normal bacterial balance in the oral cavity and should not be used for extended periods. People who have had an allergic reaction to this medication should not use it. Caution is required when using this medication for people with asthma or allergic diseases or those with a history of such conditions. Discoloration of teeth or gums may occur in the oral cavity, and tartar may form more readily, potentially leading to changes in oral sensation. In particular, for children, the oral mucosa may peel or be slightly irritated. Very rarely, severe allergic reactions, including shock symptoms, may occur, so if symptoms such as vomiting, malaise, cold sweats, dizziness, or difficulty breathing arise, use should be discontinued immediately and a hospital visit is required. If a rash or hives appear on the skin, discontinue this medication as severe allergic reactions may occur. Some patients may temporarily experience inflammation of the salivary glands. For general bacterial infections, antibiotics should be used instead of this medication, and the treatment period should generally not exceed 10 days. In patients with both gingivitis and periodontitis, the results of treating periodontitis should not be judged solely based on the condition of gingivitis after using this medication. Discoloration may occur in various areas of the oral cavity, including teeth, dentures, and the back of the tongue, hence caution is required. In particular, patients using dentures with rough surfaces or fissures may experience more significant staining, so they should use this medication carefully and avoid it if they do not want discoloration. Pregnant women should use this medication only when its benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should use it cautiously as it is not clear whether this medication passes into breast milk. For children under 18 years of age, caution is required as the safety and efficacy of this medication have not been fully established. This medication is for oral rinsing only and should not be swallowed. Keep out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place. Also, do not keep it near flames or sources of ignition.
