This medication is primarily used to relieve symptoms commonly associated with colds, including cough, phlegm, runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing.

How to take

Adult dose

Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.

Child dose

Ages 6 to 12: 10 mL, every 4 to 6 hours Ages 2 to 6: 5 mL, every 4 to 6 hours Not to be given to children under 2 years of age unless absolutely necessary and under doctor's guidance.

Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause severe skin reactions such as severe rashes or pustules. If you develop fever, red spots, or small pustules, you should immediately stop taking this medication and consult a physician or pharmacist. Additionally, this medication should not be used by individuals currently taking or who have discontinued MAO inhibitors within the past 2 weeks. If you experience rash, redness, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness, anxiety, or insomnia while taking this medication, you should stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, if symptoms do not improve or if a cough persists for more than 7 days, with fever or headache continuing, seek medical attention. If symptoms related to pseudoephedrine such as sudden severe abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, severe headaches, confusion, seizures, or visual disturbances occur, stop taking this medication immediately and consult healthcare professionals.
