Precautions

This drug is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin-based antibiotics. Patients with certain viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia may have an increased risk of rash. Use with caution in patients with a history of liver dysfunction or jaundice, as there is a possibility of recurrence. This drug contains lactose and should not be given to patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with liver disease or moderate to severe kidney disease may need dosage adjustments due to increased drug concentration. Patients with a history of allergic reactions, bronchial asthma, or urticaria should be careful, as there is a risk of hypersensitivity reactions. Patients who have difficulty in oral intake, elderly patients, or those in poor general condition may experience vitamin K deficiency and should be monitored. In patients with gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by vomiting or diarrhea, drug absorption may be insufficient, so caution is advised. While this drug is generally well tolerated, side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, skin rash, and contact dermatitis may occur, and treatment should be discontinued if severe symptoms develop. Liver function abnormalities may occur rarely, and special caution is needed, especially in the elderly or with long-term use. Severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis may occur, so patients should be closely monitored after administration, and preparations for emergency treatment should be in place. If diarrhea or abdominal pain occurs during antibiotic use, there is a risk of serious side effects such as pseudomembranous colitis, and immediate consultation with a doctor is necessary. Long-term use may lead to the occurrence of drug-resistant bacteria and fungal infections, so it is important to administer the drug for the minimum necessary duration. This drug may interact with other medications, so caution is needed, especially when used in conjunction with anticoagulants, gout medications, or antibiotics. Avoid use in the first 3 months of pregnancy, and use during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be done cautiously under a doctor's supervision. It is advisable to avoid use in infants under 3 months of age as safety is not confirmed. This drug may affect the results of some clinical tests, so it is important to inform healthcare professionals during testing. In cases of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, renal dysfunction, and seizures may occur, so care should be taken, and immediate treatment should be sought upon occurrence of abnormal symptoms. Before use, shake the bottle well to ensure uniformity, and it is recommended to refrigerate after preparation and to use it within 7 days.
