Efficacy & effects

Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

Essential hypertension is a condition characterized by persistently high blood pressure, which can threaten cardiovascular health. Telmisartan and Amlodipine both work to lower blood pressure and can be used together when sufficient control is not achieved with monotherapy. This combination therapy effectively lowers blood pressure and helps protect the heart and blood vessels. Therefore, it is used for essential hypertension that is challenging to control with Telmisartan or Amlodipine alone.
