Treatment of eye infections (blepharitis, conjunctivitis, etc.) and surgical sterilization.
This medication is effective in treating various ophthalmic diseases such as blepharitis, chalazion, dacryocystitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, and corneal ulcer due to sensitivity to various strains. It is also used to maintain aseptic conditions during ophthalmic surgeries. It primarily acts on numerous bacteria including staphylococcus, streptococcus, and pneumococcus, reducing inflammation and treating infections. This medication improves bacterial infections around the eyes and helps facilitate rapid recovery.
1 drop at a time, instilled 3 times a day.
This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolone antibiotics. When using this medication, shock symptoms such as nausea, cold limbs, and respiratory distress may rarely occur; if these symptoms appear, use should be immediately discontinued and appropriate treatment sought. Also, hypersensitivity symptoms such as cardiovascular collapse, angioedema, rash, itching, and difficulty breathing may occur, so if these symptoms arise, administration must be stopped immediately. There may be temporary burning sensation, irritation, or discomfort in the eye, and various ocular adverse reactions such as eye pain, redness, swelling, blurred vision, or foreign body sensation may sometimes occur. In severe cases, serious skin and corneal diseases like Stevens-Johnson syndrome may develop, necessitating immediate discontinuation if these symptoms appear.
