Precautions

It is not safe to use this medication in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients with bleeding tendencies or those taking blood coagulation inhibitors should not use this medication. It should not be administered to patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function. Individuals with allergies to any components of this medication should refrain from taking it. Since it contains lactose, patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should also avoid this medication. It should not be used in children under 12 years of age. Patients with allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to Yellow No. 4 (Tartrazine) should take this medication with caution. Gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, and diarrhea may occur during use. Occasionally, bleeding symptoms, such as gum bleeding or nosebleeds, may arise. Allergic reactions such as skin rash, urticaria, or itching may also occur, although rarely. In very rare cases, severe allergic reactions such as facial swelling, difficulty breathing, or low blood pressure may occur, thus caution is warranted. Symptoms of liver dysfunction or elevation of liver enzymes may occur. Since platelet counts may decrease, if there are unusual symptoms, consultation with a healthcare provider is necessary. Signs of liver damage may include yellowing of the skin or eyes, darkening of urine, upper abdominal pain, and loss of appetite; in such cases, the medication should be stopped immediately. If fever, difficulty breathing, or blood in sputum persist, it is necessary to stop the medication and inform a healthcare provider. It is advisable to avoid lying down while taking this medication. As this medication may affect blood coagulation, caution is necessary when used in conjunction with anticoagulants such as warfarin. Its safety during pregnancy or lactation has not been established, so it is better to avoid use in these cases. Overdosage may increase the risk of side effects, making consultation with a physician important. Keep out of reach of children, and it is safe not to transfer to another container. The effects on driving or operating machinery are not known, so caution is warranted.
