This medication is used to improve expectoration difficulties commonly seen in conditions such as acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis. It helps relieve expectoration difficulties caused by these respiratory diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Acute conditions: 200 mg once, three times a day Chronic conditions: 200 mg once, twice a day

Child dose

Acute conditions (6 to 14 years): 200 mg once, twice a day Chronic conditions (6 to 14 years): 100 mg once, three times a day Cystic Fibrosis (6 years and older): 200 mg once, three times a day

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals with allergies to certain ingredients. Patients with ulcers in the stomach or duodenum should also avoid this medication. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication. Furthermore, since this medication contains lactose, individuals with genetic issues that prevent lactose digestion should avoid taking it. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a doctor before taking this medication. Nursing mothers should also use this medication cautiously, as it is uncertain whether it is excreted in breast milk. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, oral inflammation, heartburn, or diarrhea occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, individuals with hives, itching, rashes, headaches, tinnitus, or asthma may experience allergic reactions such as bronchospasm, so caution is advised.
