This medication is used to relieve pain caused by peripheral neuropathy in adult patients.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Take once daily after the evening meal. This medication should be swallowed whole and should not be split, crushed, or chewed. The starting dosage may be 150mg per day. Based on individual patient response and tolerance, the dose may be increased by a maximum of 600mg per day at weekly intervals. When discontinuing, taper gradually with intervals of at least one week.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, so notify healthcare professionals if you experience depression or mood changes during treatment. Individuals allergic to any component of this medication should not take it. Diabetic patients should be aware that this medication may cause weight gain, which can affect blood sugar control, and discontinue use immediately if symptoms of angioedema occur. Elderly individuals must be cautious of the risks of falls or injuries due to dizziness or drowsiness. Some patients may experience blurred vision or vision changes; consult a doctor if symptoms occur. Do not suddenly discontinue this medication, as withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, headache, nausea, and anxiety may arise; taper off gradually according to healthcare provider instructions.
