This medication is used to relieve pain caused by peripheral neuropathy in adults.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

This medication is administered once daily after the evening meal. It should be swallowed whole and must not be divided, crushed, or chewed. The starting dose may be 150 mg once daily. Based on individual patient responses and tolerability, the dose can be increased weekly to a maximum of 600 mg per day.

Children's dosage

Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients under 19 years of age.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors, so if symptoms of depression or mood changes occur during treatment, you should consult a healthcare professional immediately. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Diabetic patients should be careful as weight gain may require adjustment of blood sugar control medications. If you experience serious allergic reactions such as angioedema, stop taking the medication immediately and inform your healthcare provider. Elderly patients should be cautious as this medication may increase dizziness or drowsiness, raising the risk of falls.
