Efficacy & effects

Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

In patients with essential hypertension, the combination therapy of amlodipine and olmesartan medoxomil is recommended. This combination effectively lowers blood pressure through different mechanisms of action. If blood pressure control is difficult with a single drug, these two medications can be used together to manage hypertension stably. This reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and maintains health. Therefore, it is used for essential hypertension.
