Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
In patients with essential hypertension, the combination therapy of amlodipine and olmesartan medoxomil is recommended. This combination effectively lowers blood pressure through different mechanisms of action. If blood pressure control is difficult with a single drug, these two medications can be used together to manage hypertension stably. This reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and maintains health. Therefore, it is used for essential hypertension.
This medication should be taken once daily as one tablet with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (for example, in the morning). The recommended dosages are as follows: - 5/20/12.5mg: for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with the combination of amlodipine/olmesartan medoxomil 5/20mg. - 5/40/12.5mg: for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with the combination of amlodipine/olmesartan medoxomil 5/40mg.
