Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. Patients with allergies to this medication's components, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and those with severe liver or kidney disease should not take this medication. Elderly patients or those with high potassium levels or poor liver function, as well as patients with heart valve disease or cardiomyopathy, should use this medication with caution. The hydrochlorothiazide component may increase the risk of skin cancer by making the skin sensitive to sunlight, so UV protection and skin examinations are necessary during use. Various side effects such as dizziness, hypotension, electrolyte imbalance, liver dysfunction, rash, etc., may occur while taking this medication. Any unusual symptoms should be reported to a doctor immediately. It is particularly important for patients with poor kidney function to have regular blood tests to monitor potassium, creatinine, and other levels. Interactions with other antihypertensive agents, diuretics, lithium, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc., may occur, so inform the doctor of any other medications being taken. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur during driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. Women planning to become pregnant are recommended to use safer alternative therapies rather than this medication. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children.
