Relief of symptoms of nasal cold (acute rhinitis), allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis (nasal congestion, runny nose, etc.)
This medication is used to relieve symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, tears, sore throat, and heaviness in the head caused by nasal cold, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis. It can help alleviate such symptoms and reduce discomfort for patients, making daily life more comfortable.
For persons 15 years and older: 24 mL 4 times a day after meals and before sleep if needed. May take up to 6 times a day approximately every 4 hours as needed.
Ages 11 to under 15 years: 16 mL, Ages 7 to under 11 years: 12 mL, Ages 3 to under 7 years: 8 mL, Ages 2 to under 3 years: 6 mL, 4 times a day after meals and as needed.
This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months old. Additionally, individuals who are taking or have stopped taking MAO inhibitors within the last two weeks should not take this medication. While taking this medication, do not take other oral medications for rhinitis or cold medications that contain antihistamines, cough suppressants, motion sickness medications, or allergy medications. It is also advisable not to use topical formulations containing diphenhydramine. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication unless in special cases, and if necessary, a physician should be consulted. If there is a tendency for allergic reactions such as hives, contact dermatitis, migraines, food allergies, etc., consultation with a physician or pharmacist is recommended. Individuals who have previously experienced allergic symptoms such as fever, rash, joint pain, asthma, or itching due to this medication or other medications should exercise caution. Those with hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, edema, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, thyroid diseases, diabetes, or those who are weak or have a high fever should consult a professional. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should consult a professional before taking this medication. Elderly patients should also use caution before taking this medication. If currently receiving treatment from a physician or dentist, or if experiencing cough due to smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, prolonged cough lasting over a week, or cough accompanied by fever, rash, or headache, consultation is necessary before taking this medication. If experiencing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, persistent or severe thirst, constipation, loss of appetite, rash, itching, or urinary difficulties while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. Rarely, symptoms such as shock, facial and limb swelling, increased blood pressure, headache, muscle weakness or paralysis may occur, so if any of these symptoms arise, stop taking the medication immediately and seek medical care. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for 5-6 times, discontinue use and consult a professional. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and avoid long-term use. When administering to children, careful guidance and supervision by a guardian are necessary. Drowsiness may occur during use, so driving or operating machinery should be avoided, and alcohol should be refrained from. When taking potassium-containing preparations or medications containing licorice, or certain diuretics, caution is required as hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities may occur. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place to minimize moisture exposure. Additionally, medications should be stored in their original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality.
