The daily intake of aspartame should be limited to below the WHO recommended level, and the smallest amount possible should be used for safety. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or beta-lactam antibiotics should not be administered this medication, and those with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia should also avoid it due to the risk of rashes. Patients with a history of jaundice or liver dysfunction due to this drug or penicillin are prohibited from taking it. Patients with poor liver function or moderate to severe renal impairment should use it cautiously, and those who are allergic or elderly, as well as patients receiving parenteral nutrition, need special attention. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases such as vomiting or diarrhea may not absorb the medication properly, so caution is necessary. During treatment, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting may occur, and in severe cases, discontinuation of the medication and consultation with a physician is required. Since liver function may elevate, hepatitis and jaundice symptoms can appear, long-term use requires liver function tests. Severe skin reactions such as rashes, hives, or in severe cases, Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so if abnormal symptoms arise, administration should be stopped immediately. Blood tests have rarely reported blood abnormalities such as leukopenia and anemia; inform healthcare personnel if abnormal symptoms occur. Central nervous system side effects such as anxiety, confusion, and seizures may occur, so caution is needed. Regular checks are required as kidney function may decline, and medication should be stopped if abnormalities are found. Particular caution is needed when used with anticoagulants, anti-inflammatory medications, and oral contraceptives. It should be avoided during the first three months of pregnancy, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use it cautiously after consulting a doctor. It is not recommended for use in premature infants and neonates, as safety has not been established. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more easily due to decreased kidney and liver function, therefore dosing and intervals should be adjusted and monitored. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms and neurological abnormalities may occur, so inform healthcare personnel immediately and receive appropriate treatment. After mixing, refrigerate and use within 7 days, paying attention to temperature and humidity during storage. The use of this drug should only be for the necessary minimum duration after sensitivity testing to help prevent resistant strains from occurring.
