Relief of difficulty in expectoration due to respiratory diseases such as acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma.
This medication is used to improve difficulty in expectoration in respiratory diseases such as acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis.
For acute diseases, take 200 mg three times a day before meals with a small amount of water. For chronic diseases, take 200 mg twice a day before meals with a small amount of water.
For acute diseases, children aged 6 to 14 years should take 200 mg once, twice a day before meals with a small amount of water. For chronic diseases, children aged 6 to 14 years should take 100 mg once, three times a day.
This medication should not be taken by anyone allergic to this medication or any of its components. It should also not be taken by individuals with ulcers in the stomach or duodenum. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication. As this medication contains lactose, those who are lactose intolerant or have specific genetic issues should not use it. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should consult a doctor before taking this medication. Nursing mothers should also exercise caution as it is unclear whether this medication is excreted in breast milk. If gastrointestinal problems such as nausea, vomiting, mouth ulcers, heartburn, or diarrhea occur while taking this medication, discontinue taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Moreover, if symptoms like hives, itching, rash, headache, ringing in the ears, or bronchospasm in asthma patients occur, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor. Rarely, there may be symptoms such as rapid heartbeat or increased blood pressure, in which case the medication should be discontinued. Serious side effects such as difficulty in breathing have been reported, so if such symptoms occur, inform the medical staff immediately. When taking this medication, it is recommended to maintain at least a 2-hour interval if taken with certain antibiotics, as it may decrease the effectiveness of the antibiotics. It is also safe not to mix other medications in the solution of this medication. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container to maintain quality and prevent accidents.
