Precautions
This medication may exert strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking it. The acetaminophen component in this medicine may rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if a rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen is 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing products to prevent liver damage. The pseudoephedrine component in this medication may rarely cause severe skin adverse reactions, so if fever, rash, or small blisters appear, discontinue use and consult a physician. It is safer to avoid this medication for individuals with a history of specific allergies or hypersensitivity reactions, infants under three months old, those taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics, and patients with uncontrolled hypertension. During treatment, it is advisable not to take other cold medications, pain relievers, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children who have had or are suspected of having chickenpox or flu, individuals with specific allergic conditions, those with liver or kidney disease, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, or insomnia arise during use, discontinue immediately and consult medical personnel. In particular, if severe allergic reactions, skin mucous membrane syndrome, asthma attacks, liver dysfunction, breathing difficulties, swelling, or muscle weakness occur, seek medical attention immediately. Do not administer to children under two years of age; if absolutely necessary, a physician's care must be sought. When taking this medication, adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, avoid prolonged use, refrain from alcohol, and be cautious as it may cause drowsiness, thus avoiding driving or operating machinery. Be careful with concurrent use of specific diuretics or licorice components, as they may cause hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities.
