This medication must be administered with precise dosage measurements. Serious side effects can occur due to confusion between milligrams and milliliters. Once oral medication can be taken, it is advisable to use appropriate analgesics immediately. Be sure to check if other acetaminophen-containing medications are being taken to avoid overdosing. Exceeding the recommended dosage may severely damage the liver, so it is crucial to adhere strictly to the dosage instructions. Symptoms of liver damage usually appear between 2 to 6 days after administration, so if any unusual symptoms appear, immediate medical attention is necessary. Patients with poor liver function or those who regularly consume alcohol should consult a doctor before taking this medication. This medication can rarely cause serious skin reactions; if a skin rash or allergic symptoms appear, it should be stopped immediately. Patients allergic to acetaminophen or this medication, those with peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney disease, or severe heart failure should not use this medication. Additionally, patients with a history of aspirin-induced asthma or those taking specific medications should avoid this drug. Elderly patients, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers should use this medication cautiously and consult a doctor if necessary. This medication can interact with other drugs that may increase hepatotoxicity, so be sure to inform your healthcare provider of any medications being taken. Overdose may present with symptoms like nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and abdominal pain, and in severe cases, can lead to liver damage and be life-threatening, requiring immediate hospital care. The use of this medication during pregnancy is relatively safe, but must be taken according to a doctor's instructions. While small amounts may be excreted in breast milk during breastfeeding, no reports of specific adverse reactions have been noted, but caution is warranted.
