This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of cold including throat pain, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 15 and older, take 1 tablet three times a day, 30 minutes after meals.

Precautions

This medication may cause liver damage, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If severe rashes, blisters, itching, or other symptoms occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult with a healthcare professional. Care should be taken not to exceed a maximum of 4,000mg of acetaminophen per day from all sources, and this medication should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing products to prevent liver damage. Individuals with allergies to this medication or its ingredients, those with a history of asthma, infants under three months of age, and those taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not take this medication. To avoid drug interactions, do not take this medication with cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. This medication contains a dye known as Yellow No. 4, and individuals allergic to this ingredient should use it cautiously. Children who have had or are suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, and individuals with allergic constitutions or various diseases involving the liver, kidneys, heart, etc., must consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If any unusual symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, or shortness of breath occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Children under two years of age should not take this medication except in special circumstances, and if such a case arises, they should seek medical advice. When taking this medication, be sure to follow the prescribed dosage and administration, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from alcohol consumption during treatment. This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and not transferred to other containers.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • High fever with severe rash, blistering, peeling skin, pain in mouth/eye mucous membranes → severe skin reactions
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanying cough and fever → respiratory problems
  • Skin or eyes turning yellow (jaundice), extreme lethargy → liver problems (jaundice)

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (congestion), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, dizziness, anxiety, trembling, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson drugs, etc.), cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking this medication with diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants.

Food interactions

Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication.
