Precautions

This medication contains beta-lactam antibiotics and includes penicillin-related components. This drug should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the components or to beta-lactam drugs. Special caution is needed in cases of serious allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome. In patients with concurrent viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, the risk of side effects such as rashes may be increased, so administration should be avoided. Patients with a history of jaundice or liver function impairment due to this medication or penicillin-related drugs should also not be administered due to the risk of recurrence. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function may have slowed metabolism and excretion of this medication, requiring dose adjustment and careful monitoring. Patients with a history of allergic tendencies or symptoms like bronchial asthma, skin rashes, or hives should consult healthcare professionals before administration. Gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may occur, and in severe cases, serious colitis such as pseudomembranous colitis may develop, necessitating immediate consultation with a doctor if symptoms arise. Abnormal liver function may occur rarely, so it is important for elderly patients or those taking this medication for an extended period to undergo regular liver function tests. Severe skin reactions such as pruritus, rashes, or in rare cases, Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, the medication should be discontinued immediately and healthcare advice should be sought. Blood tests may show abnormalities such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia with long-term administration, so blood tests are necessary. This medication may affect the central nervous system, and symptoms such as headache, dizziness, or seizures may occur rarely, so any such symptoms should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are taking anticoagulants, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, or anticonvulsants, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the use of this medication, especially during the first three months of pregnancy. In breastfeeding mothers, the components of this medication may be partially transmitted into breast milk, and if the infant experiences diarrhea or allergic reactions, the medication should be discontinued. This medication is recommended only for children over 12 years of age or weighing over 40 kg, as there is limited experience in using it for younger children. Elderly patients are at higher risk for side effects due to decreased bodily functions, so dose adjustment and monitoring of their condition are necessary. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, renal failure, and neurological abnormalities may occur, requiring immediate discontinuation of administration and appropriate treatment.
