Adult dose

The recommended dose is 1 tablet (0.5mg) once daily. Swallow this medicine whole without chewing or splitting it. This medicine may be taken with or without food. No dosage adjustment is necessary in patients with renal impairment or elderly patients. The recommended dose in patients with hepatic impairment has not been established because there are no data on administration of this medicine to patients with hepatic impairment.

This medication can be absorbed through the skin, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not handle or take this medication directly. It is also advisable to avoid touching broken or crushed pieces of this medication, as they may affect the development of the male fetus's reproductive organs. This medication is contraindicated for children under 18 years old. Children should be cautioned to avoid touching broken pieces of this medication. Women, children under 18 years old, and individuals allergic to this medication or similar ingredients should not take this medication. Adult men planning to conceive should take this medication cautiously under the guidance of a physician, as it may affect reproductive ability. Patients with severe urinary issues or liver dysfunction should be cautious when taking this medication, particularly those with liver function abnormalities. Since this medication is metabolized in the liver, caution is needed when taken with strong CYP3A4 enzyme inhibitors, as it may increase drug concentration. During treatment with this medication, erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders, and other sexual dysfunction symptoms may occur, which can persist even after discontinuation of the medication. This medication has been reported not to increase the frequency of sexual dysfunction or breast disorders with long-term use, though its relationship with male breast cancer remains unclear. Patients taking this medication should have regular prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests, and care should be taken in interpreting test results as PSA levels may decrease due to this medication. Patients receiving this medication should not donate blood until at least 6 months after the last dose. There is no specific antidote for overdose, and due to the long half-life of this medication, appropriate supportive treatment is needed depending on symptoms. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in the original container to prevent misuse or degradation in quality. This medication is unlikely to affect driving or operating machinery, but caution is necessary if any adverse reactions occur while on the medication. There may also be potential interactions with other medications during treatment, so it is recommended to consult with a physician or pharmacist to check for co-administered drugs.
